Malaysia rugby of today has certainly gone the distance. A number of our players being continuously snapped up by professional teams abroad – most recently Mohd Amin Jamaluddin or locally known as Bonzer who recently signed for TV 1834 Pforzheim Rugby until May 2020.
Joining the likes of Marc Le and Dinesvaran Krishnan plying their trade abroad, Mohd Amin’s name was suggested by another former Malaysian National Player Sae Faalupega Magele – after joining the club having made the switch from CAU Madrid Rugby.
It is important to note that both Sae and Amin have shared playing time as teammates in the national setup and COBRA. Playing as a Second Row or Center, Amin build as a prop and experience in the 7s and 15s game will prove how valuable he will be with the German club.
TV 1834 Pforzheim Rugby competes in Germany’s Top League and being no pushovers, the club last won the championship back in 2015/16 and has advanced to the finals four times in their 10 years history of going professional in rugby.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish Amin good luck and sincerely hope that this will pave the way for other players to follow in his footsteps soon!
