Penganjuran Perlawanan Secara Tertutup – World Rugby

Komuniti ragbi antarabangsa baru-baru ini memperkatakan garis panduan oleh World Rugby dalam langkah memulakan kembali aktiviti sukan itu yang terjejas akibat pandemik COVID-19.

World Rugby dalam kenyataannya menjelaskan, garis panduan itu dikeluarkan bagi membantu mana-mana kesatuan atau kejohanan untuk menyambung semula permainan namun ianya tertakluk kepada undang-undang serta peraturan yang berkuatkuasa di negara masing-masing.

Pengerusi World Rugby, Sir Bill Beaumont berkata, “Semua orang merindui sukan yang kita cintai ini, meskipun tidak dapat berlatih atau bermain, arahan oleh kerajaan dan pihak berkuasa masing-masing harus dipatuhi,” katanya.

Manakala Ketua Pegawai Perubatan World Rugby, Dr. Eanna Falvey pula berkata, “Kami telah bekerjasama dengan semua pihak meliputi kesatuan, wilayah, pertandingan serta pemain bagi mewujudkan garis panduan yang mematuhi kehendak WHO dalam konteks ragbi,” jelasnya.

Garis panduan tersebut diterbitkan dengan kerjasama Dr. Falvey, Dr. Martin Raftery (World Rugby), Prav Mathema (Welsh Rugby Union) dan Prof Mary Horgan (Pakar Perunding Penyakit Berjangkit).

Garis panduan tersebut menyentuh kesemua aspek penting bagi membendung penularan serta menjamin keselamatan semua pihak terlibat.

Paling menarik, sesuatu kejohanan atau perlawanan yang dijadualkan akan berlangsung secara tertutup dan tanpa kehadiran penonton. Jumlah maksimum individu terlibat hanyalah seramai 174 orang sahaja termasuk pemain, pegawai perlawanan, petugas perubatan dan kecemasan serta lain-lain lagi.
