South Africa Ready To Bounce Back After New Zealand Defeat

While most of South Africa fans and players are still getting over after last week’s defeat against 3 times Rugby World Cup champions New Zealand, Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus was confident for his boys to bounce back and become the first side in World Cup history to win a World Cup having lost a match in the pool stages.

It is because there was no team in the previous eight World Cups recovered from a group stage defeat to go on and take the trophy.

In Rugby World Cup 2015 Japan made history as the first team to win 2 games in pool stages but doesn’t qualify for the quarter-final. Springboks’s coach Rassie Erasmus aims to bring back Webb Ellis Cup to South Africa by gaining momentum from their remaining games against Namibia and Italy.

Erasmus also admits that New Zealand deserved the win by scoring more tries and winning 10 penalties against the Springboks as discipline were their main downfall. South Africa’s Cheslin Kolbe shines on the day causing mayhem on All Blacks defense by finishing the game strong with 2 clean line-breaks and 11 defenders beaten. South Africa now gonna use their 7-day break to prepare for their second match at City of Toyota Stadium against Namibia.
